Ag-Celerator

Ag-Celerator™ seeks to help Purdue entrepreneurs build momentum that will put them in a better position to gain customers, find development partners, and obtain more investment funding.

The fund is operated by the capital access arm of the Startup Foundry, with assistance from the Purdue College of AgriculturePurdue Research Foundation’s Office of Technology Commercialization, and the agricultural industry.

About Ag-Celerator

The Ag-Celerator™, created in 2015, is a $2 million agricultural innovation fund designed to provide critical startup support for Purdue innovators who wish to commercialize patented intellectual property or Purdue “know-how” technologies related to agriculture. Recent Purdue Next Moves funding now allows us to open up this unique opportunity to any and all Purdue innovators (students, faculty, alumni, other Purdue Affiliates*) creating a startup company that impacts any related agricultural field, including animal health. Applicants must become active Startup Foundry clients. Those commercializing Purdue intellectual property must obtain a certification. Purdue students, faculty and alumni can receive up to $100,000 in funding through the program. Investments are made per semester on a competitive basis.

Who Should Apply:

All Purdue innovators, including faculty, students, alumni and Purdue affiliates* creating a startup company that impacts any related agricultural field, including animal health.

Investment Opportunity:

The Ag-Celerator will invest up to $100,000 per semester on a competitive basis. Specific investment amounts will be determined based on Company ask and selection criteria deliberations.

Application:

To be considered for the Ag-Celerator investment, the Purdue innovator or team must:

  • Be seeking dilutive funding
  • Complete the application by the deadline
  • Include a business concept description and pitch deck
