Curriculum Changes to Meet Client Needs

Purdue Foundry has traditionally offered its keystone curriculum as two separate program offerings: Firestarter & Introduction to Customer Discovery. To keep up with demand and enhance client experience, content from both have been combined into one updated 9-week cohort session within Firestarter.

A new program offering has also been added. In addition to Firestarter, Purdue Foundry will now offer graduated Firestarter clients a series of open classroom times for devoted work on their Business Model Canvas.

Here’s the difference:

Firestarter Cohort Now: 9-week cohort to learn ideation, communication and customer evaluation. You leave with 10-slide pitch deck, a one page executive summary and assignment to a Purdue Foundry Entrepreneur in Residence.

Business Model Canvas Cohort Now: There will be a facilitator in the Middle Room at the Foundry ready to address a specific block on the Business Model Canvas at each open cohort session. There may be a lecture offered, or we may do group work on the subject (like in Firestarter), or individual assistance may be available, depending on who shows up. The facilitator will be available from 2 – 4 pm on each scheduled open cohort day.

Not been through Firestarter yet? Set some time to meet with our Program Manager, Bill Arnold. Set your appointment today.

Completed Firestarter? You can attend the open classroom times to work on your Business Model Canvas. The current schedule is Wednesdays from 2-4pm at the Foundry:

  • March 20 - Customer Relationships
  • March 27 - Channels
  • April 3 - Key Activities
  • April 10 - Key Resources
  • April 17 - Key Partnerships
  • April 24 - Revenue Streams and Cost Structure
