Austin is a FAA-certified as a commercial remote pilot. Austin is an advocate for professional development and training of STEM skills that can open doors and create career paths for individuals. Austin is also Program Manager for the Center of Excellence for Design Technology Apprenticeship, a program that trains high school and undergraduate students to provide CAD and engineering services through after school, accelerated training programs.

Jon Ashdown

Co-founder

Jon is responsible for training and curriculum development for AerialForce. Jon is FAA-certified as a commercial remote pilot. Jon is trained and certified on Military UAV platforms and surveillance drones including the Aerovironment Raven RQ-11B. As a Phd. electrical engineer for the Air Force, Jon has developed innovative and patent-pending counter UAS technologies. Additionally, Jon is involved with the planning, coordination, and execution of drone-based experiments for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force.

AerialForce provides expert drone training for business and hobbyists alike. AerialForce’s full-day, in-person training prepares individuals to become FAA-certified remote pilots and also allows them to operate a drone under the supervision of a professional pilot instructor.
